NEW YORK (KXAN) — The NBA is suspending the season after Wednesday night’s games until further notice because of the coronavirus concerns and a potentially infected NBA player.
The league’s decision comes after the news that a Utah Jazz player has preliminary tested positive for COVID-19. The test result was reported just before tip-off of Utah’s game in Oklahoma City.
The game was canceled before tip-off and the NBA says the affected player was not in the arena.
The NBA says it will use the hiatus to determine next steps moving forward.
